Who you are dealing with
Collections are carried out by Walkers Waste Management Ltd (company number 16043689), trading as Walkers Waste and part of Walkers Services. We are a registered waste carrier, licence CBDU541636.
Booking and prices
- Every collection has a collection fee of £59.99, plus the price for your load or single items.
- Prices shown on the website and in your booking confirmation are based on what you describe. On arrival, we confirm the price before loading.
- If the load is larger, heavier or different from what you described, we will tell you the new price before we start. You can accept it or cancel without charge, apart from the collection fee.
- We'll arrive within the slot we confirm with you. We call ahead if anything delays us.
What we can't take
We don't accept asbestos or any hazardous waste. This includes:
- asbestos, or anything that may contain it, such as old cement sheets, artex or floor tiles
- chemicals, solvents, pesticides and liquid paint
- oil, fuel and gas cylinders
- clinical and medical waste
- car batteries and other hazardous batteries
If we find any of these, we will leave them and remove the rest of the load. If hazardous waste is hidden in a load, you are responsible for any extra disposal costs and charges this causes us.
Access and safety
- Please make sure we can safely reach the waste and park close by. Any parking or permit costs are added to your bill.
- Let us know when booking about stairs, long carries or narrow access.
- By booking, you confirm that you own the waste or have the right to dispose of it.
Cancelling or changing a booking
- You can cancel or move your collection free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice.
- With less than 24 hours' notice, or if we can't get access when we arrive, we may charge the collection fee.
- We may need to rearrange because of bad weather, vehicle problems or safety concerns. If so, we will offer the next available slot at no extra charge.
Payment
Payment is due when the collection is completed, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Our responsibilities
- All waste is taken to licensed facilities. Wherever possible, it is reused or recycled.
- You receive a waste transfer note for each collection, as the law requires.
- We take care on your property. If we cause any damage, please tell us within 48 hours so we can put it right.
- Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
