Loft conversions for homes across Surrey and South London
A loft conversion is the most common way homeowners add a bedroom without losing garden. We check head height, roof structure and stair position at the first visit, then tell you honestly which type of conversion suits the house and what it will cost.
Our carpenters build the structure, our decorators finish it and Walkers Waste clears as we go. Fitted wardrobes and eaves storage are made in our own workshop to use every awkward corner.
What we do
Common questions
Is my house suitable for a loft conversion?
Most houses with 2.2m or more between the ceiling joists and the ridge can be converted. We measure at the first visit, free of charge, and tell you straight away.
How long does a loft conversion take?
Six to eight weeks for a Velux conversion, eight to twelve for a dormer. The roof is weathertight within the first fortnight.
Will I need planning permission?
Rear dormers and Velux conversions usually fall under permitted development. Front dormers and conservation areas in Surrey need an application, which we handle.
